Media Spokesman of the Presidential Trask Force battling the COVID19 outbreak in Sri Lanka Prof. Charitha Herath said the Task Force was trying to arrange some mobile facility to withdraw cash from their accounts.
Many people have complained on social media platforms that they could not buy essential items due to shortage of cash in hand. The Police continue to prevent people from going to ATM machines due to the ongoing curfew.
"Public and Private bankers agreed to introduce mobile ATM facilities. People’s Bank has already initiated it. Trying our best to address this issue soon," Herath tweeted this evening.
