Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva undertook an observation tour at the Dambulla Special Economic Centre.

The centre was kept open despite the ongoing curfew to ensure the interrupted supply of vegetables to the market.

However, there were reports that the centre was highly-crowded and posed a public health risk.

Speaking to the meida, Silva. the head of the national operation against COVID19, he visited the place to look into the current status of the operation.
