Police curfew has been imposed on several areas in the Puttalam, Chillaw and Negombo police divisions.

The curfew will be effective from 4.30 PM today.

The decision has been made to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

It was revealed that many returnees from Italy who evaded quarantine centres are residents of these areas.
