Health Services Director General Dr Anil Jasinghe said legal action would be taken against Patient No. 11 (a 45-yr-old man who travelled with Patient No. 3 to Germany) for refusing to be admitted to the hospital despite knowing the travel partner had been admitted with COVID19.
He also added that the Patient No. 11 had refused instructions to be admitted and visited his own doctor for medical advice.
He had got himself tested at a private hospital and only finally allowed himself to be admitted to IDH much too late.
The government has made it clear that the tests should be carried out at government hospitals.
