U.B. Sarath Rupasiri has been appointed the Controller of the Immigration and Emigration Department.

He has worked at the Department for two decades in various capacities.

Rupasiri has also worked as n Additional Secretary to the Women's Affairs Ministry.

He has been selected from the special grade of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS).
