Popular actress Oshadhi Hewamadduma said she would contest the upcoming Parliamentary election from the Sri Lanka Podujana Party.

Hewamadduma said he intended to contest from the Badulla district.

Speaking to a YouTube channel, the actress said she was one of the first 10 members of the Viyathmaga organization.

She was seen actively campaigning for President Gotabahaya Rajapaksa and his party at the last Presidential election.

However, informed party sources said no final decisions had been made about SLPP nomination for the upcoming Parliamentary election.
