Government bans the drunken fishermen from fishing activities. The State Minister for Fisheries and Aqua Culture Development Dilip Wedaarachchi made these remarks at a media conference held recently. Minister further noted that there were many disasters occurred in the past by drunken fishermen. The decision was taken to prevent such activities in future. This will also safeguard the interest of the family members of the respective fishermen. 

It is also reported that fishing activities cannot be done properly under the influence of liquor.
