The government pays attention on beautification towns in Airport areas. Accordingly, towns will be developed with the facilities of railways, buses and shopping complexes at the vicinity of International Airports.

Civil Aviation Services Director Rohan Manukulasuriya says a massive contribution of the Tourism Industry could be obtained through these town development programmes. He said at present, a 6.2 percent annual increase has received from the passenger and good transport sector of the Civil Aviation Service. He said it is considered as a good situation of the Asian Region.
