Although private bus owners said that they were suspending the strike in view of discussions with the President scheduled for this morning, no private buses were seen on the roads in some parts of suburban Colombo even at around 9 a.m.

The bus owners said they will be discussing the matter with the President at 7.30 a.m. today.
