A telephone call received by the IGP while he was addressing a meeting has raised serious questions on the conduct of the Good Governance government.

The IGP, answering the caller as "Sir" assures him that a certain person will not be arrested by the FCID.

There are only a few higher officials than the IGP in the government and the President, the Prime Minister and the Minister of Law and Order are among them.

President Maithripala Sirisena, on numerous occasions said that the age of calling the judicial officials and the police is now over. If so, questions are raised as to who in his government acted against his claims, in full view of the public.
