Former Minister Vinayagamoorthi Muralitharan alias Karuna Amman appeared before the police Financial Crimes Investigations Division to give a statement.

A former LTTE military commander, Karuna broke away to form the TMVP, and then joined the Sri Lanka Freedom Party. He was a minister in the Mahinda Rajapaksa government.
