The Court has given approval to proceed with the investigation with regard to 4,012 million rupees fraud in the Nilwala river project. Earlier the FCID has filed a ‘B’ report in the Colombo Fort magistrate’s court, seeking an order to the Bank of Ceylon to furnish account reports for investigation in connection with the 4,012 million rupees fraud in the Nilwala river project. 

The information revealed that there was no constructions made based on the fund allocation and thereby the question remains unresolved with regard to the funds allocated for this project.
