Minster Rajitha Senaratne says that legal action will be taken against hospital directors if they conduct blood tests at private laboratories, from the 01st of January. 

Issuing a statement, the Minister says hospitals should be digitalized to suit new technology. The statement says that blood testing from the private sector will be banned from the 01st of January for the patients admitted to hospitals. 

Minister says, the government will provide blood testing machines to the hospitals with laboratories, before the 31st of next month. He says disciplinary action will be taken against hospital directors, if they conduct blood testing from the private sector. 

The statement further says, digitalization of hospitals commenced from the Horana Base Hospital and the Maharagama Apeksha Hospital.
