Nearly a thousand of farmers of 34 farmers’ organizations held a protest at Embilipitiya town today, demanding fertilizer subsidy.  

Three protest marches began from Moraketiya road, Udagama Mahaela, and Mahaweli Grounds and converged near the Embilipitiya clock tower. The protest march blocked all three of the main routes from Embilipitiya new town for more than an hour.
