A rally opposing the proposed Economic and Technology Cooperation Agreement with India will be held on Thursday at Hyde Park, Colombo.

The rally is organized by the United Professionals Movement.

The organizers said that a collective of professional organizations and institutions, trade unions, political parties and business organizations will take part in the rally.

The rally is the second major meeting of professionals to be held against the ETCA in Colombo. In early February a large rally was held at Viharamahadevi Open Air Theatre against the ETCA.
