‘Sinhala Ravaya’ organization stated that they lodged a complaint with the Inspector General of Police regarding the protest held at Lipton Circus by the United National Party.

General Secretary of Sinhala Ravaya, Ven. Magalkande Sudaththa Thero pointed out that a heavy traffic jam was created due to the protest, thus public was severely affected.

He mentioned that police took action against them because of a protest staged by his organization recently at Kaluthara. He pointed out that it was a serious problem if the same law would not apply on the protest staged by the UNP as well.

Law should be exercised against UNP and its leader, he added.
