Two German specialists are to arrive in the country today to investigate the recent explosions in several transformers of Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).

They will visit the Biyagama substation and CEB grid substation in Kotugoda today and examine the transformers in question.

The Cabinet Sub Committee appointed to look into power failures will meet today. The Power and Renewable Energy Minister Ranjith Siyambalapitiya stated that the final report on the matter will be prepared today. The Parliament will be informed regarding the issue after the report was present before the President and the Prime Minister, Siyambalapitiya said.
