Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga lashed out at the SLFP participants at the 'Joint Opposition' rally at Hyde Park on March 17, saying that they will be removed from the party in due course.
Speaking at the Gampaha SLFP Balamandala meeting, Kumaratunga said that about 12,000 people came to the rally and that they were brought by supplying them with liquor and food.
"Anyone can organize rallies, but if SLFP leaders are taking part in them, they will face repercussions" she said.
She also claimed that those who stole public property have joined the 'Joint Opposition' bandwagon and there were even some murderers in that camp.
