Rashmika Opatha of St. Thomas College Mount Lavinia hammered a brisk century in the 137th Battle of the Blues against the traditional rivals Royal College at the SSC.

STC gave no respite to the Royal bowlers despite being called in to bat, and struck 146 runs in the first session without losing a wicket. Opatha was on 95 not out.

Opatha reached his century a short while after lunch. A short while ago, he was on a run-a-ball 105 not out with 15 fours and three sixes. Mendis was on 47 not out and STC were 162 with no loss.
