Colombo Additional Magistrate Chandana Kalansuriya allowed the Borella Police to record a statement from Minister Champika Ranawaka in connection with the accident in Rajagiriya on February 28.

The order was issued following a request made by the police this morning. The Magistrate also allowed police to obtain the phone records of the Minister on the day of the accident.

The Magistrate also directed police to inspect CCTV camera records of the area and take necessary steps to arrest any suspects if needed.

One youth was critically injured following this accident.
