Trinity College, Kandy, has signed a MoU with the Education Ministry to give admission to the child in Kuliyapitiya who was denied a school due to false HIV/AIDS rumors.

A week ago, some past pupils of the school initiated the attempt to get the child admitted to the school. The school authorities were also informed of this suggestion which finally led to this move.

The child was denied a school in Kuliyapitiya since parents of other children protested his admission to a school due to false rumors that the child was infected with HIV.
