Embilipitiya Magistrate today informed lawyers of both parties that an affidavit or a request of a relative of the deceased is needed to exhume the body of Sumith Prasanna Jayawardena, who died in a clash between the police and civilians.

This order was given considering requests made by the victim's lawyers to conduct another post-mortem regarding the death.

Former Embilipitiya ASP DWC Dharmaratne who is in remand custody was brought to court today for the magisterial enquiry.
