Former DIG Vass Gunawardane's wife Shyamali Priyadarshani was remanded today until March 16 by Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris for possession and transporting offensive weapons illegally.

Her husband and the others who were convicted of the Mohammed Shiyam murder are also charged in this case.

Priyadarshani was recently issued notice to appear in court today.
