British High Commissioner James Dauris met Venerable Galagama Sri Aththadassi Mahanayaka Thera of Asgiriya chapter.

Blessing the High Commissioner, Chief Prelate said that he was pleased about the relation between Britain and Sri Lanka.

Speaking to the media, the High Commissioner noted that they were pleased with how Sri Lanka carries out programmes to reconcile ethnic groups. He stated that Britain could aid the process.

Furthermore, he said that Britain would like to support resettlement in Sri Lanka.
