Eleven individuals including six monks arrested for the protest at Homagama Magistrate's Court on January 26 were released on bail by the Homagama Magistrate today.

They were in remand custody on alleged contempt of court, since they are suspected of being part of a protest at a Magistrate decision to remand Bodu Bala Sena General Secretary Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera.

The monks in custody included Sihala Ravaya leader Akmeemana Dayarathana, Ravana Balaya General Secretary Ittakande Saddatissa and Sihala Ravaya Secretary Magalkande Sudatta.
