UNP MP Hirunika Premachandra was strongly warned by the Colombo High Court trial-at-bar hearing the Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra murder trial, for not showing due respect to the court.

She failed to bow as expected when she entered the court room, and was warned by the judges for this failure.

The court will take appropriate measures against her if she repeats the mistake, the court also said.

Thirteen individuals including former MP Duminda Silva stand accused for the murder of Bharatha Lakshman Premachandra and several others on October 8, 2011.
