Alleged LTTE fund-raiser Emil Kanthan's lawyers informed the Special High Court that their client could not turn himself in due to the Fort Magistrate's refusal to recall the warrant on him.
Meanwhile, the State Councilor representing the Attorney General's Department said that further advice on the matter was being sought from the AG and requested a week's time.
The Special High Court decided to fix the next hearing on March 3.
The Special High Court decided to remove the red notice and the warrant on Kanthan in its last hearing. However, the Fort Magistrate refused to withdraw the warrant at a later hearing.
