Veteran singer Anton Jones passed away this afternoon at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital while undergoing treatment.

Jones, a popular singer of the baila genre, entered the music field in the 1950.

He was known for a number of iconic songs such as 'mini gavuma'.

Anton Jones was 79 at the time of his passing.
