A Cabinet meeting is expected to take place on Tuesday under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena.

This will be the first Cabinet meeting following his return from an official visit to Germany and Austria. The usual Cabinet meeting was not held last week due to the President's foreign visit.

The Presidential Secretariat has informed Ministers that their participation for the meeting is compulsory, political sources said.
