Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa arrived at the Welikada remand prison to visit his son Yoshitha Rajapaksa and Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera.

He arrived at the prison after several hours after he attended the bail application hearing on behalf of his son at the Colombo High Court.

Yoshitha Rajapaksa is in remand prison over the alleged money laundering at CSN Channel. Galagodaatte Gnanasara Thera is in remand custody for alleged threatening of Sandhya Eknaligoda, wife of the disappeared journalist Prageeth Eknaligoda.
