Sri Lanka's Anuradha Indrajith Cooray was denied the South Asian Games marathon gold medal by a one second as he was beaten by an Indian Athlete.
The gold medal was won by Nitender Singh Rawat, who completed the race in a time of 2 hours 15 minutes and 18 seconds. The silver was won by Cooray who finished the race in 2 hours 15 minutes and 19 seconds.
Third place was also won by an Indian athlete, Khetha Ram, who finished the race in a time of 2:21:14.
