Sri Lankan Athletes dominated the South Asian Games 100m events today winning gold medals in both men's and women's events.
Himesha Heshan of Sri Lanka established a new Sri Lankan and South Asian record in men's 100m event. He finished the final in 10.28 seconds and won the gold medal. In an earlier heat, he finished in 10.26 seconds, establishing the new record.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's Rumeshika Ratnayake won the 100m women's event, finishing the race in 11.71 seconds.
