UPFA Hambantota District MP Namal Rajapaksa said that the government may arrest him in the coming days but he will not be intimidated by such moves.

Speaking at a meeting in Lunugamvehera in Hambantota District yesterday, Rajapaksa said that the government has been unable to satisfy the demands of the people. Therefore, it is carrying out political witch hunting and political revenge to make people forget their shortcomings, he claimed.

Rajapaksa, referred to the arrest of his younger brother Yoshitha as an act of revenge. 'Ironically they arrested the one who was not connected to politics," Namal Rajapaksa said.

He also claimed that the government was arresting them on trumped up charges.
