United Nations High Commissioner of Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al-Hussein visits the north today.

He will be meeting the Northern Province Chief Minister C.V. Wigneswaran during his trip.

Al-Hussein is also expected to meet alleged victims of human rights abuses while in north.

The UNHRC Chief, who is on a four day official visit to the island, will also visit the Eastern Province during his stay in the country.
