The Colombo District Court today issued an enjoining order, preventing the Sri Lanka National Hockey team from participating in the South Asian Games in India.

The order was given after considering a petition by the Gymkhana Club, which alleged that irregularities had taken place during the selection process for the national team.

The South Asian Games will take place in Guwahati and Shillong in India from February 5 to February 16.
