State Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Dilip Wedaarachchi was not reliable enough to give authority, said Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development Mahinda Amaraweera.
He made this statement at a press conference held in Angunukolapelessa.
“Wedaarachchi complains that I had not given him enough power. One should be trustworthy and talented to be given authority. I had only given him a limited power. I do not believe he was reliable.
If he had faced injustice, he has the potential to request for a different ministry from the President or the Prime Minister”, Amaraweera stated.
Amaraweera was elected from UPFA, while Wedaarachchi was elected from UNP. Both represent the Hambanthota district.
