Former president Mahinda Rajapaksa and five others have been summoned by the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC).
They are to appear before the commission on October 15, 16, 29 and 30.
They are summoned over nonpayment of outstanding bills to the ITN for Rajapaksa's advertisements during the 2015 Presidential Election period. The ITN is to receive Rs. 115 million.
Several people, including Rajapaksa, were questioned on the outstanding payments over the last few weeks by the commission.
