The Secretary-General of Parliament, Kushani Rohanadheera, has informed all newly elected Members of Parliament (MPs) to be present at the Parliament premises by 9 a.m. tomorrow for the inaugural session of the 10th Parliament, scheduled to begin at 10 a.m.
Upon arrival, MPs' vehicles will be directed to designated parking areas by police officers. MPs are then required to proceed to the Parliament lobby, where they will remain until the ceremonial bell is rung to mark the start of proceedings.
Meanwhile, registration for newly elected MPs is ongoing today. MPs are encouraged to visit the information desk within the Parliamentary complex to provide their personal details, including mandatory fingerprinting.
Additionally, a workshop will be held for new MPs on the 25th, 26th, and 27th of this month, where they will receive briefings on parliamentary procedures and operational processes.
The Secretary-General said that all necessary information will be provided to MPs during the workshop.
