Arrangements are being made for Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to hold talks with French, Turkish and Sri Lankan leaders in Japan over three days in early October, the JT report said, citing a Japanese government source.
A meeting with French Prime Minister Manuel Valls is envisioned on Oct. 5, one with Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe on Oct. 6 and another with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Oct. 7, the source said Saturday, JT added.
It will be Valls’ first visit to Japan since he took office in March last year and Wickremesinghe's first visit to Japan since he came to office in January this year. Erdogan last visited Japan in January 2014 as Turkey’s prime minister.
