The Colombo Chief Magistrate allowed the CID to detain the main suspect in the murder of a 5-year-old girl in Kotadeniyawa, for a period of 72 hours.

This order was given by the Magistrate last evening.

The girl was reported missing on the morning of September 12 and her body was recovered the following day. The main suspect was arrested yesterday by police.
