The CID yesterday told the Colombo Magistrate Courts that Gampola Vidanage Samantha Kumara alias Wele Suda had connections with prison officials.

CID informed court that it had investigated his telephone conversations, as a part of an investigation currently under magisterial inquiry. The court was told that Wele Suda had contacted prison officials in 85 out of 184 conversations investigated.
