The Cabinet, State and Deputy Ministers of the newly formed 'national government' are expected to be sworn in today.
According to the motion passed yesterday by the Parliament, there will be 48 Cabinet Ministers and 45 State and Deputy Ministers.
A number of ministers of the former government led by President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe are likely to retain their former ministerial portfolios, reports said.
Three ministers have already been sworn-in after the August 17 general election. They were appointed since they were needed to fulfill official responsibilities during a recent visit by two Assistant Secretaries of State from the US.
