Former Sri Lankan President Chandrika Kumaratunga today called on External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.
The Sri Lankan politician, who served as the fifth President of Sri Lanka from November 1994 to November 2005, is in the Indian capital to attend the 'Samvad- Global Hindu Buddhist Initiative on Conflict Avoidance and Environment Consciousness'. Kumaratunga attended the inaugural session of the event today along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The three-day event, which began today, is being held by Vivekananda International Foundation and it will shift to the holy Buddhist town of Bodhgaya on the last day on September 5.
