National Workers' Congress Leader and Tamil Progressive Alliance Deputy Leader Palani Digambaran said that his party was in favour of a national government.
Speaking to Asian Mirror, he said that the TPA supports the national government on the grounds that it will help all poitical parties to join and work together for the development of the country.
Meanwhile, Digambaran said that he expect all three prominent leaders of the TPA to be given ministerial portfolios.
Digambaran led the UNP list in Nuwara Eliya District with 105,528 preferences and V. Radakrishnan came second with 87,375 votes. Meanwhile TPA leader Mano Ganesan was elected from the Colombo District.
