President Maithripala Sirisena today (28) appointed UPFA Provincial Councilor Peshala Jayaratne as the Chief Minister of North Central Province.
Peshala Jayaratne was among the first group who crossed over to the common opposition prior to the Presidential Election.
He was the former Minister of Co-operative, Trade and Food, Industries, Textiles Industries and Rural Development, Tourism and Housing of the North Central Province.
