Popular Artiste Jackson Anthony’s house in Ihala Karagahamuna, Kadawatha has been raised by Police in search of vehicles belonging to the Economic Development Ministry.

Anthony was known to be close supporter and an associate of the Rajapaksa family.

However, the Police had found a “mysterious” jeep from Anthony’s house in kadawatha and later it was revealed that the jeep did not have any direct links to the Economic Development Ministry.

When asked by Police, his wife had informed that the jeep was ‘gifted’ to the popular artiste by Micro Company in appreciation of the TV show he produced, titled ‘maha sancharaya’.

However, “maha sancharaya” programme, aired on Rupavahini, was backed by the Economic Development Ministry which overlooked the tourism sector under the previous government.

The Police had also inquired the senior management of the Micro company in this regard and they had answered in the affirmative.
