Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage today (26) banned the Transport Director of the Presidential Secretariat Keerthi Samarasinghe Dissanayake from leaving the country.

The Colombo Magistrate banned the official from leaving the country on the grounds that 246 vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat have not been returned and the transport log book has been missing.

Last week, 53 vehicles belonging to the Presidential Secretariat were found by Police, abandoned at a yard in Colombo.

"We are conducting investigations on how these 53 vehicles ended up at this yard," Police Media Spokesperson Ajith Rohana said commenting on the matter.
