Chief arms procurer of the LTTE and former leader of the terrorist organization Kumaran Pathmanathan alias KP has fled the country, Parliamentarian Rajitha Senaratne said.

The former Minister added that Pathnathan had left the country using the VIP lounge of the Katunayake Bandaranaike International Airport.

However, Pathmanathan’s travel details were not disclosed to media. The Minister said the government was tracing the whereabouts of former LTTE Leader. The opposition, during its election campaign, asserted that Pathmnathan should be prosecuted for the key role he played in the LTTE.

Pathmanathan was supporting former President Rajapaksa’s election campaign in then north before the presidential election.

It can be assumed that Pathmanathan has left the country after January 06
