Nuwara Eliya District Parliamentarian V.S. Radhakrishnan has been appointed as a Deputy Minister today.

Accordingly, he has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Botanical Gardens and Public Recreation.

A member of the Up-country People’s Front, Radhakrishnan contested the 2010 General Election under the UPFA ticket from Nuwara Eliya District, and came second in preference votes, receiving 54,083 preferences.

He was appointed as leader of the UPF Political Wing in October 2010.
