The National Election Commission (NEC) has confirmed that all official ballot papers for the 2024 general election have been successfully delivered to district returning officers.

NEC Chairman RMAL Ratnayake said that the ballot papers have been securely stored in vaults at the respective Divisional Secretariats to ensure their safety.

A total of 17,140,354 ballot papers have been printed for the upcoming election, which is scheduled to take place later this year.
